FAQS

How long does the treatment take?

Depending on the style chosen and your lip size, Lip Blush treatments are 2-3 hours from start to finish, your review sessions are much less from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours

Does it hurt?

A topical numbing treatment is applied before treatment begins this process usually takes 1-3 minutes, during the treatment Lisa will check in with you, and ensure you are comfortable and will adjust the treatment as required. Everyone has varying tolerances and essentially this is a form of tattooing although and shallow depths in the skin there is some sensation for some.

Fillers? Do I need filler? Can I have filler?

You do not need filler for lip blush treatments with me, however if you are considering filler, booked in for filler or deciding on which procedure to do first. You must allow 4 weeks pre and post Lip Blush Procedure with me.

I will give recommendations of injectors and any issues with currently filled lips if there are concerns.

Permanent Makeup allows for definition and symetry, Lisa WILL NOT work over the boarder of the lip (Vermillion Boarder) or skin tissue as three will be significant issues with healed results over time.

I dont want bright colours I want it to look natural?

Immediately after the procedure there will be slight swelling to the lips, this will subside over 24 hours post procedure. Depending on what treatment and colour chosen the lips may appear brighter than the healed colour.

How do I care for my lips post treatment?

Full aftercare instructions hard copy & care kit will be provided on completion of treatment. Lisa will also speak with you on the day about short term and long term requirements.

The Healing Process

Lips go through varies stages of healing, the initial stage after your procedure will show the colour more vibrantly and there is some swelling the swelling can last up to 72 hours, this is really normal! Within the first week of healing your lips will seem dry and start to flake, on day 7 flaking generally has stoppped and the colour will have faded, the colour will start to blossom over the next 6-12 weeks depending on the service you have had.

It is IMPORTANT to stay out of the sun, avoid chlorine, swimming, sauna's, excessive exercise and heavy makeup on the area for at least 14 days, and in and around the treatment area avoid injections, fillers or laser.
